2017 was an impressive a year at BRMC—and 2018 is looking even better

2017 will go down as a banner year at Blue Ridge Mountain Club. New home ownership has soared in the past twelve months, as is evidenced by the new construction throughout the community. Brand new amenities have been completed, as well, along with several others scheduled to open this spring/summer. Add to that a number of terrific on-site events and seasonal get-togethers, and it becomes evident that 2017 was a blessed year, indeed.

“Each New Year we set goals for the community in terms of sales and overall growth,” says General Manager, Jim Pitts. “Oftentimes, those goals are lofty, something to shoot for, if you will. And in 2017, we met those goals. We had many construction projects underway and several new building initiatives, in addition to our emphasis on attracting more families to BRMC. And now, today, it is so gratifying to look back over the course of the year and realize that we hit all of our goals.

We have many new families in our community. We have new homes being built. We have finished amenities. And we have exciting things in the works already for 2018. Our success is a testament to the strength and vitality of this one-of-a-kind community. More than ever, BRMC is a great place to be.”

Blue Ridge Mountain Club: 2017 Highlights

Awards:

Recognized by ideal-LIVING magazine as a community with the “Best Outdoor Living” in their Best of the Best special issue

New Amenities:

We welcomed the on-site Chetola Sporting Reserve, completed the Watson Gap Pavilion, and the Ascent Wellness & Fitness Center. We also have two additional facilities and one outdoor space scheduled to be open in the spring of 2018: the Jasper Club House, the Lookout Grill, and the Great Lawn.

Events/Parties:

The sense of community is stronger than ever. This was a particularly festive year, with a number of events and parties. The Summer Soulstice in June was our most well-attended event yet. The annual Peak Fall weekend was a huge success as guests got a sneak preview of the Ascent Wellness & Fitness Center and the Fire Garden and Event Terrace. We also hosted our first Peak Fall After Hours Chamber Event for the Ashe, Blowing Rock, Boone, Caldwell, and Wilkes Chambers—it was so successful that we are making this an annual event.

New Homes:

Construction is seemingly everywhere—around every turn, over every hill. Many families have either purchased or have begun construction on new homes. We are also pleased to say that we only have two of the Mitchell condominiums still available—and we have recently introduced the adjacent Craig condominiums for sale. In short, we enjoyed a lot of expansion in 2017, in the form of either homes, homesites, or condominiums.

Come See It for Yourself

The only way to appreciate the elevated living experience here is to come see it for yourself. As our homeowners already know, few settings are as glorious and naturally inviting as the 6,000+ acres of beautifully preserved land at Blue Ridge Mountain Club. Located in the heart of the High Country—between the charming mountain town of Blowing Rock and the bustling college town of Boone, home to Appalachian State University—BRMC presents members with 50-mile views in every direction and a wealth of outdoor activities and attractions, including hiking on picturesque trails, fishing in pure mountain streams, swimming in tucked-away mountain pools, and camping in old-growth forests.
