Last Friday was our inaugural Supper Club, and what a success it was! Chef Michael Foreman and his staff from Bistro Roca really outdid themselves with a lavish spread. Everyone was delighted at the menu which consisted of a Grilled Romaine Caesar with roasted heirloom tomatoes and shaved manchego cheese. There was wood fired artisan breads toasted right over the open flame of one of the fireplaces at Watson Gap Pavilion. The Brazilian beef tenderloin was skewered with a Samurai sword and grilled to a medium rare perfection. There were also fresh local veggies to accompany all of this. To top it all off, grilled pineapple with blood orange sorbet for dessert gave folks a burst of energy for the night ahead.
That’s when the party really got started. After playing a short acoustic collection during dinner, BRMC Member Peter Gatti and his band, Lawyers, Guns & Money, took to the tent for an electric concert lasting well into the night as folks from BRMC and the surrounding area alike filled the tent and lawn for the concert and ice cream.
We will be having two more supper clubs this summer on July 14th and on August 11th. Please email Erica Lackey to RSVP or for more information about Supper Clubs and other Outbound Events.
