Construction is well underway at the Watson Gap Cottages.
Blue Ridge Mountain Club unveiled its designer-decorated model cottage this summer, during the community’s Watson Gap Pavilion dedication. Located in Watson Gap Park, a short stroll from the planned village center, the Pavilion is designed specifically for a wide range of community events and gatherings. Cottage homes in the Watson Gap neighborhood will benefit from exceptional proximity to village destinations.
Inspired by the Blue Ridge architectural vernacular, each of the 10 cottages in the Watson Gap Park neighborhood will feature roughhewn natural timbers, bark siding, free-stacked stone and intricate wrought-iron hardware. Interior features include vaulted, tongue and groove ceilings; distressed wood flooring throughout; covered front porch and rear outdoor living spaces; KitchenAid appliances; Kohler fixtures; granite countertops throughout; master on main with walk-in closet; and bonus game room or loft space, depending on the plan.
The Watson Gap model home cottage was professionally decorated by Dianne Davant & Associates, best known for their design expertise in Elk River, Linville Ridge, and throughout the High Country, as well as Georgia and Florida. “It was such an honor to have the opportunity to work with the Reynolds team in creating the design for the Watson Gap Cottages. Blowing Rock is a unique and special area, which calls for a sophisticated design, combined with the charm of a comfortable and inviting mountain retreat,” said Dianne Davant.
