The following is just a sampling of some of the larger seasonal events in and around Blue Ridge Mountain Club. Be sure to check our Events Calendar for upcoming events all year long!
This community-wide celebration of winter in Blowing Rock is one of the reasons we find winter to be one of the warmest seasons at BRMC! Thousands flock to the mountains to enjoy the spectacle of professional ice carving, participate in the Polar Plunge, and sample some of Blowing Rock’s finest cuisine.
The Blue Ridge Wine & Food Festival in Blowing Rock
The premier foodie event of the year in the High Country, the Wine & Food festival attracts visitors from all over the country for three days of wining, dining, and enjoying springtime in the mountains. With gourmet chef competitions, cook-offs, wine tastings, and beer pairings, the only thing this festival leaves you hungry for is next year’s edition.
A Blue Ridge Mountain Club tradition, we look forward to the Summer Soulstice party each year. Held at the Watson Gap Pavilion, the Soulstice party gives members a chance to reconnect after a long winter and welcome new members while enjoying catered dining al fresco, games and movies on the lawn, and a bonfire with plenty of s’mores to cap the evening.
